An athletics track for East Grinstead

Since 1978, East Grinstead has had an athletics club in the town. Originally starting at Sackville School, the club moved to Imberhorne School in 2000 following the building of an athletics training facility (ATF). Providing athletics opportunities to the town and surrounding areas, the club continues to offer opportunities for people to enjoy the sport.

Over the years, the club has supported athletes to excel in their events, achieving a range of honours from county championships all the way to international level. All of this has been achieved without an athletics track in the town.

In order to help serve our community, promoting a healthy lifestyle, regular exercise and supporting people’s mental health, we believe it’s important for our community to have a track that will make a positive contribution to us all.
